We have recently had many Tesla owners requesting paint protection film for their new vehicles. Model 3 and X mostly, but today we want to showcase the Model Y.
Car and Driver Magazine writes, “The newest ambitious project from Tesla is the all-electric Model Y compact crossover. As the temperature begins to heat up, we anxiously anticipate freedom from our new normal of shelter in place or some version of self-quarantine. We want to get out, rekindle the love affair we have with our vehicles, and prepare for those daily commutes back to the office or much-needed, weekend road trips. With all that in mind, our customers have been asking more questions about the topic of window tint. From recent conversations, we have narrowed it down to five. Do I Need Window Tint?
There are many reasons our customers ultimately decide to install window tint: Reduced glare from the sun, enhancing visibility and reducing eye strain; Blocks solar heat radiation, keeping vehicles cool and improve fuel efficiency; and Protection from harmful UV rays, that can cause skin cancer and skin damage.
This 2020 Tesla Model X, received XPEL PRIME XR PLUS window tint, and XPEL ULTIMATE PLUS paint protection film on the front, hood, mirrors and side panels.
Are There Different Kinds of Window Tint?
Yes. Film and film performance levels vary because of how the film is made. Films can be dyed, hybrid, nano-ceramic or – as with XPEL PRIME XR PLUS™ – made with a proprietary blend of metal and metal oxide nano particles. We don’t know about you, but we love the classics! Their stature and ability to make an entrance like no other can- always captivates our attention. Over the years we have been able to work on cars of all ages and value, and there is always something to love about each of them. No matter the history of the vehicle, when it comes to us- it is in for a special treat that helps retain the value and the visual appeal.
When this 1978 Chevy K20 came into the XPEL Las Vegas Install Shop, it had been restored to a beautiful like new condition. We went the extra mile to ensure it remains looking good for years to come. After discussion with the trucks owner we decided that a custom clear car bra installation to keep the areas that are most susceptible to chips and scratches protected was exactly what this truck needed. We installed our XPEL’s ULTIMATE PLUS Paint Protection film to the entry door area, lower door area, front tire impact, rear quarter impact, a tailgate strip and hood strip.
We didn’t stop after the paint protection install was complete.
