2022 Acura RDX 

This 2022 Acura RDX visited our install shop to receive a partial front PPF package. We applied ULTIMATE PLUS paint protection film to part of the RDX’s hood and fenders and complete front bumper. This sport-tuned premium crossover SUV is now wearing a self-healing XPEL clear bra.

The 2022 Acura RDX is designed to be a fast luxury crossover. The top-of-the-line spec is the RDX Type S. It features a turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 making 355-hp with all-wheel-drive. However, the standard engine is a 290-hp 3.5-liter V6. Changes from the outgoing model include one additional gear. The previous model used a nine-speed, while the 2022 Acura RDX features a ten-speed automatic transmission.

For 2022, the Mercedes-Benz GLC300 arrives with new standard features as well as additional available options. This SUV can be optioned with all-wheel drive called 4Matic. 2022 BMW X5 M Competition 

One of the last vehicles at our install shop in 2021 was this 2022 BMW M240i. This sports car wears a stunning shade of Thundernight Metallic paint. To protect the areas most at risk for paint damage, we wrapped the BMW’s front end with XPEL PPF. We applied ULTIMATE PLUS paint protection film to part of the car’s hood, fenders, and entire front bumper. In addition, we tinted the BMW M240i glass with PRIME XR PLUS window film. This will ensure that the car’s interior is protected against 99% of harmful UV rays.

The new 2022 BMW M240i is a design throwback to the two-door sports sedans of the 1960s. It is a two-door coupe powered by a 3.0-liter straight-six. Power output is rated at 382-hp and 369 lb.-ft of torque. As a result, this little BMW reaches 60 mph in 4.1-seconds. It keeps running all the way to its electronically limited top speed of 155 mph. Its signature color is Thundernight Metallic, a lovely bold shade of purple that dances when exposed to light.

Check out the mirror finish on this black 2022 Tesla Model 3. First, we treated the Tesla with FUSION PLUS ceramic coating. This adds a “freshly waxed” high-gloss shine to painted surfaces. In addition, the depth of the color is enhanced. Plus, XPEL ceramic coating is infused with hydrophobic properties. As a result, FUSION PLUS makes surfaces easier to clean. There are a few changes in the Tesla Model 3 for the 2022 model year. Starting with the base model, which has been renamed to Rear-Wheel Drive. The Model 3 also received a new battery pack made from lithium-ion-phosphate. Tesla claims this new battery pack will extend the Model 3’s range to 272 miles. In addition, the Tesla Long Range Model 3 now has an estimated range of 358 miles. As for the Performance variant, that high-speed Tesla can hit 60 mph in 3.5-seconds.

This new 2022 BMW X5 M Competition is wearing XPEL PPF on its front end, rocker panels, and rear splash. We treated the BMW X5 by wrapping its body panels with ULTIMATE PLUS paint protection film. As a result, the BMW’s gloss paint is now better protected against potential scratch marks and staining.

The 2022 BMW X5 went through minor changes from the outgoing model. All X5 models come from the factory packing a 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged V8. This engine produces a rated 600-hp to power all four wheels. The M Competition bumps the power to 617-hp. This package includes 22-inch wheels and rear biased when set to track-mode.

It is always a thrill to see the latest supercars at our XPEL install shop, like this outstanding 2021 Ferrari 812 Superfast GTS. First, we treated the front-end of the Ferrari 812 GTS in our ULTIMATE PLUS ™ Paint Protection Film. Then, XPEL installers treated the glass on this Italian supercar with PRIME XR PLUS ™ ceramic window tint. The dark-tinted windows match beautifully with the Ferrari 812’s blue exterior paint. This Ferrari is ready for an extended grand tour.

The Ferrari 812 Superfast GTS is the drop-top variant of the coupe 812. Beyond that, the GTS offers the same hyper-speed performance as the coupe. It lives up to its Superfast name using a 6.5-liter V12 and three electric motors to produce an impressive 789-hp. This hybrid drivetrain pushes the Ferrari from zero to 60 in 2.8 seconds and onward to a top speed of 211 mph. Blistering speeds come at a cost, as the Ferrari 812 GTS has a starting cost of over $400,000.

The sound of this 2020 Shelby Mustang GT350 was music to our ears at the XPEL install shop. This cool blue GT350 is wearing a self-healing ULTIMATE PLUS ™ PPF clear bra. This will protect the Shelby Mustang’s hood, front bumper, fender, side mirrors, and headlamps. As a result, the Shelby Mustang GT350 is better protected against rock chips at the track. In addition, the film is virtually unnoticeable, leaving only a high-gloss shine.

The year 2020 was the last production year of the Shelby GT350. It ended its production putting out 526-hp from its 5.2-liter V8 codenamed Voodoo. It’s a muscle car by definition with a zero to 60 time of 4.2-seconds. The GT350R spec came standard with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 Track-spec tires. In addition, the R spec features oil coolers for the engine, transmission, and differential for better track-day performance. 

 

ULTIMATE PLUS ™ Shelby Mustang GT350 PPF

ULTIMATE PLUS ™ paint protection wrap is a transparent, durable film developed to protect surfaces against scratch marks, paint chips, and corrosion brought on by environmental contaminants. We offer protection wraps in a partial-front which covers the front bumper and partially covers the hood and side fenders. Our most well-known ppf services is the full-front known as a ‘clear bra,’ which covers the entire hood, fenders, front bumper, side mirrors, and headlamps. However, one can always request to wrap the whole vehicle in XPEL ULTIMATE PLUS ™ paint protection film. Our ppf can also be applied to interiors and trim pieces like carbon fiber wings and rear diffusers.
